Moscow Export Center presents system supporting Moscow exporters at CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2020. Spring
A workshop on Moscow City Exports: System Supporting the Development of Foreign Economic Activity of Moscow Companies has taken place at the CJF – Child and Junior Fashion 2020. Spring exhibition at Expocentre Fairgrounds. It was organised by Moscow Export Center with support of Expocentre AO.
Moscow Export Center expert Valeria Kiselevskaya presented an analysis of children’s goods exports with emphasis on export capacities of Moscow companies. According to her, the share of Moscow in Russian exports of children’s goods amounts to 55%.
The most popular export children’s goods include baby linen and diapers (over 39%), baby food (almost 31%), construction sets (4.6%), and children's clothes (2.1%). CIS member states are the main consumers of children’s goods exported by Russia.
Kiselevskaya dwelt on the Moscow government’s effort to support exports of local companies. Moscow companies are fully reimbursed for participating in collective expositions “Made in Moscow,” which helps them access domestic and foreign markets, she said.
Another fundamental measure of support is the release of the same-name catalogue, “Made in Moscow,” which presents 2,058 Moscow enterprises and 4,410 types of their products.
The Moscow government is also actively developing e-commerce platforms, reimbursing Moscow enterprises for the cost of creating their accounts, and enabling them to participate in international trade and sell export goods online.
Experts of the Moscow Export Center give Moscow companies advice on various aspects of customs clearance, taxation, accounting, legislative amendments, and other aspects of foreign trade.
The Moscow Export Center has opened the Moscow School of Exporters, which operates for free and regularly holds coaching seminars, master classes, and trainings on important aspects of foreign economic activity. The Export Accelerator programme was launched together with the Skolkovo Innovations Center. In addition, the Moscow Export Center implements a vast program of business missions and other events aimed to broaden the interaction between Moscow exporters and potential foreign partners.
