The 8th International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion; Maternity Wear – CJF'2012. Spring successfully started February 28. It is the main exhibition of the fashion industry in Russia, CIF countries and Baltic States.

At the official opening of the exhibition Deputy General Director of Expocentre Mikhail P.Tolkachev thanked the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Public Chamber of Russian Federation, Moscow City Government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, under auspices of which the exhibition runs, for the assistance in organizing of the exhibition.

162 companies from 14 countries displayed their collections at CJF'2012. Spring. “It is pleasant to see that about 80% of the exhibitors are Russian companies”, M. Tolkachev noted.

Oleg V.Kascheev, the Deputy Director of the Wood and Light Industry Department, welcomed participants and visitors of the exhibition on behalf of The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. He gave a welcome address and wished the exhibitors successful work and good contracts. Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vadim V. Chubarov stressed that the exhibition CJF – Child and Junior Fashion was a good contribution to the unification of the efforts of governmental, business and social structures in the development of the Russian light industry. He also noted that the number of the participants of the exhibition has increased 3 times since the founding.

Tatiana A. Potyaeva, the first deputy head of the Department of Social Protection of the Moscow Population, congratulated attendees on the opening of the exhibition. “We all enjoy seeing smart, beautiful children. The happy childhood and beautiful clothes are always connected with each other so the exhibition CJF – Child and Junior Fashion is important both for children and adults”, said Tatiana Potyaeva.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Expocentre Fairgrounds announced the new stage of development of the project Textile – the contest Children's fashion, which starts in 2012. The chairman of the contest jury is Valentin A. Yudashkin – Russian designer, people's artist of the Russian Federation. In his video message to the participants and visitors of the exhibition he expressed special thanks to the Russian textilemen, who had prepared a unique collection of modern fabrics, which meets all the characteristics of the new fashion trends.

Vitaly A. Fukin, the President of the Moscow State University of Design and Technology, and Valery S. Belgorodsky, the rector of the Moscow State University of Design and Technology, also gave a welcome address and wished everybody fruitful and successful work.
