On 25-28 February 2014 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the Spring Edition of CJF - Child and Junior Fashion’2014 - the show for children’s and youth fashion, and maternity wear. The show was held by Expocentre ZAO, with support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The show is recognized with the Approved Event Logos of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF).

CJF’2014 Spring presented 209 leading manufacturers and suppliers of children’s goods from Russia and 19 other countries on the net show floor of 4837 sqm. They put on display new autumn/winter 2014-2015 collections of children’s clothes, footwear and accessories, and maternity wear.

The exhibitors at the show included flagship kids’ clothes manufacturers such as Amadeo, Aron, Modnye Deti, Slavyanka Clothing Company, Shaluny, North-West Textile Company, Detstvo, Nevsky Alliance, Aliera, Ariadna-96, Caramelli, Korri Group, Gulliver and Co., Malenkaya Ledy, Charmante, Makkonti, Deti, Deloras, Kidswear Gallery, Colabear, Babymuz Cocuz, Lansa, Kavat, Bebetto, Miramax-M, Kidssmile, Luhta, Huppa, Didriksons 1913, Bulissa, Mayoral and Acoola.

Every show-day exhibitors demonstrated their latest collections of children’s clothes 2014/2015 as part of the Children’s Catwalk project

The unique fashion show of school uniform presented new collections by Smena Clothing Company, Chiadolini, De Salitto, Mash and Fracomina mini, Silver Spoon, French Toast and Borelli.

The CJF Spring Edition featured the Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions project, where highly qualified lawyers gave exhibitors an insight into the mechanisms of IP enforcement and actions to fight counterfeit.

Exhibitors and visitors of the show took much interest in the Business Contacts Exchange, Specialists' Contacts Exchange (Labour Exchange) and Customs Clearance Consulting Centre, held as part of the business-related programme.

The central event of the programme was the 10th Practical Business Forum.

The show gave a special focus to the issue of school uniform. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and ZAO Expocentre, with support from the National Union of School Uniform Manufacturers ran a round-table discussion - School Uniform in 2014/2015: Legal Requirements and Issues Related to Providing Pupils with Uniform. It was attended by representatives of non-governmental organizations, government agencies, industry specialists, as well as delegates from manufacturers and officials from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Delegates to the event, including the National Union of School Uniform Manufacturers, Smena Clothing Company, Slavyanka Pskov Clothing Company, Moscow State University of Design and Technology, and Russian regions (the Republics of Tatarstan and Komi), shared their expertize and best practices in manufacturing school uniform, developing models and fabrics, and generating sales.

OOO VSN-TRANZIT and ZAO Expocentre held a seminar on Customs and Technical Regulations: Best Practices in Applying Customs Legislation for Importing/Exporting Children’s Clothes and Footwear within the Customs Union and WTO.

As part of CJF Spring’2014 the Synovate Comcon Research Company and ZAO Expocentre offered a conference - Children’s Brands: Seeking a Common Platform for Adult and Young Audience.

A special mention should go to PRACTICUM: How to Not Only Survive but Build an Effective Business. It was held by the Clever Fashion Company and ZAO Expocentre as part of the business-related programme of the show.

A lot of interest was generated among exhibitors and professional visitors by the session of the Higher School of Marketing and Business Development of the National Research University Higher School of Economics staged in partnership with the Association of the Children’s Goods Industry (AIDT) as part of the show.

The CJF Spring Edition also incorporated a free seminar called Creating and Promoting an Online Store of Kids’ Clothes: Best Practices and Cases. The seminar was organized by eLama.ru and ZAO Expocentre.

The programme of the CJF Spring Edition finished with a session - Commercial Autumn/Winter Trends 2014-2015: Recommendations on Purchasing Children’s Goods - organized by Fashion Consulting Group and ZAO Expocentre.

The CJF - Child and Junior Fashion’2014. Spring was highly commended by industry specialists. Over the four days of the show it was by 6,698 visitors.
