Post-release CJF-Child and Junior Fashion’2012. Autumn

The 9th International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion, and Maternity Wear – CJF-Child and Junior Fashion'2012. Autumn, held on 25-28 September 2012 at Expocentre Fairgrounds, was aimed at saturating the Russian market of goods and services for children with quality and safe products.

The event was organized by Expocentre ZAO and received official support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government. It ran under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

CJF-Child and Junior Fashion is a socially beneficial project. The 2012 autumn edition once again reflected the fact that the industry is developing rapidly and exhibitors and professional visitors are keen on strengthening business relations and going international.

The exhibition has been awarded Approved Event Logos by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF); and the show continues developing.

The 2012 autumn edition was attended by 259 companies from 20 countries: Belarus, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, China, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Switzerland, Sweden and Estonia.

On the total exhibition space of 14655 m2, the exhibition put on display products by leading brands; new clothing, footwear and accessories collections for children; maternity wear; and children's clothes and footwear by world-renowned designers.

The seminar programme of the autumn edition of CJF-Child and Junior Fashion'2012 was intensive. It comprised the 7th CJF-Child and Junior Fashion Practical Business Forum aimed at business education.

A special seminar featured foremost experts who addressed the issues of Enforcing the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, the Safety of Goods for Children and Teenagers, the Safety of Toys and the Safety of Packaging.

The exhibition hosted the Russian Trade Forum 'Russian Market of Goods for Children: Strategies for Cooperation with Retail Chains'.

The delegates to the Forum included manufacturers and distributors, senior managers and network purchasers, as well as industry specialists, consultants, journalists from leading media outlets and representatives of various industry associations.

The exhibition hosted the Retail Chains Purchasing Centre™ for children's goods. The suppliers held face-to-face negotiations with heads of purchasing deprtments and commercial directors from 38 retail chains, including X5 Retail Group, Detsky Mir, Deti, Dochki-Synochky, Zdorovy Malysh and more than 30 other specialist and multiple retail chains.

CJF-Children's Fashion'2012. Autumn was the first to test a practical Integrated Programme for Cooperation with Retail Chains.

The exhibition also featured an Internet Forum called Promoting Business on the Internet.

The event closed with an award ceremony of the International Competition for Companies Manufacturing Goods for Children, held by ANO Soyuzexpertiza of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2 nominations: for the Best Consumer Qualities Award and for the Successful Promotion of High-Quality Products Award. The winners were Pinetti, De Salitto, Fortuna, Senbodulun.ru, and A.Yu. Pankratov, a sole trader.

The visitor attendance made up 9830 people. The total number of visits exceeded 16000. The average time each exhibitor spent at the show was 1.8 days.
