POST EVENT PRESS RELEASE CJF-CHILD AND JUNIOR FASHION’2013. AUTUMN
The 11th International Exhibition for Child and Junior Fashion. Maternity Wear – CJF - Child and Junior Fashion'2013. Autumn, was successfully held on 24-27 September at Expocentre Fairgrounds.
The event was organized by Expocentre ZAO and received official support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow City Government. It ran under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The CJF - Child and Junior Fashion exhibition, awarded approved event logos by UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, continues its successful development.
The show has once again reflected that the industry of children’s clothes is developing rapidly, and exhibitors and professional visitors are keen on strengthening business relations and going international.
The 2013 autumn edition welcomed 274 companies from 20 countries: Belarus, Canada, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
The exhibition space of 5,696 net sq m accommodated a display of products by leading brands; new clothing, footwear and accessories collections for children; maternity wear; and children's clothes and footwear by world-renowned designers.
The exhibition was attended by 9,690 unique visitors. The total number of visits reached 17,180.
The latest collections were showcased by well-known companies such as Amadeo, De Salitto, Nevsky Alliance, Orby, Gulliver, Malenkaya Lady, Ńharmante, Makkonti, Deti ZAO, Deloras, Gallery Kidswear, Tenta, Arronkids, Colabear, Kiddico Group, Babymuz Cocuz, Kavat, Bebetto, Mirmax, Kidssmile, Luhta, Huppa, Didriksons 1913, Mayoral, Modnye Deti, Rusdel, and many others.
The new Expocentre for Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions Project, aimed to reduce the number of counterfeit products displayed at the exhibition, was set up at the exhibition.
Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov chaired the Meeting on Future Development of the Children’s Goods Industry in the Russian Federation.
The exhibitors and visitors to the CJF - Child and Junior Fashion'2013. Autumn could attend the Business Contact Exchange and Specialists’ Contact Exchange (Labour Exchange), a meeting point for employers and applicants, as well as Customs Clearance Consulting Centre.
The accompanying events of the CJF - Child and Junior Fashion'2013. Autumn exhibition were aimed at business training and included the 9th CJF – Child and Junior Fashion Practical Business Forum.
The programme of the forum included conferences, plenary and round-table discussions, presentations, seminars, professional skills competitions focused on business management and promotion.
The key event of the exhibition’2013 was the 8th All-Russia Trade Forum ‘Market of Goods for Children in Russia. Strategies of Working with Retail Chains’. The forum brought together 320 representatives of leading companies from regional and national markets of goods for children and teenagers – manufacturers, distributors as well as independent experts and specialized press.
One more major event of the Forum was the Retail Chains Purchasing Centre™, where suppliers and manufacturers held face-to-face negotiations with network purchasers about supplies. This year 200 suppliers and 81 purchasers from 39 specialized multiple retail chains of the country such as X5 RetailGroup, Dochki-Synochki, Deti, Zdorovy Malysh, Katyusha, Enter, Boobl-Goom, Wildberries, and others were involved in this event.
Synovate Comcon and Expocentre ZAO held the 9th Annual Professional Conference on Brands for Children: Achieving Sustainable Development Amid Ever-Changing Environment. The Conference was devoted to the current trends at the market of goods for children.
One of the biggest events at the exhibition became the Conference ‘Day of Internet Advertising: Maximizing Online Sales’. It was devoted to different aspects of Internet commerce. More than 300 people, directors and shop owners, marketing mangers and specialists involved in retail chains promotion, participated in this event.
The competitions for the Best Online Shop for the Buyer and Best Web Site for the Buyer were held as part of the conference.
Another noticeable event of the programme became the 7th Session on Licensing and Franchising: Off-the-Shelf Business Solutions. Licensing and franchising concepts of were presented at the session with the participation of more than 70 specialists.
More than 60 representatives of 50 companies, including regional companies, were involved in the Practical Seminar on Technical Regulation of the Customs Union: First Results and Forthcoming Changes.
The Seminar on Improving Customs Tariff Regulation of Children’s Goods was devoted to the relevant issues coming up while transporting goods for children across the border of the Customs Union.
At the Seminar on Tax Safety for Small and Medium Business. Legal Reduction of Risks the participants got recommendations on finding a balance between a wish to reduce tax payments and attendant risks.
The exhibition also included the Session on Marketing of Children’s Goods, Practicum Session on Fashion Business: Key Elements of Success and How to Manage Them, and the Conference on Licensing in Russia: International Best Practices and Technologies of the Future.
Many renowned manufacturers presented their new collections of clothes and accessories for children and teenagers at the central catwalk. This year the leading companies such as ECOlife, Girasoli, Evaje, Noble People, Amadeo, Bulicca, Magia Detstva participated in the Children’s Catwalk Fashion Show.
The event was concluded with an award ceremony of the 10th International Contest of Goods for Children and Teenagers in two nominations: for the Best Consumer Properties Award and for Successful Promotion of High-Quality Goods Award. The winners were AKOS TEKS, Ariadna-96 Ltd., and Uspekh.
