The Licensing Marketplace organised by Imperia Congress and Exhibition Company and Expocentre AO will be held on the first day of the exhibition. The discussion of the topic on receiving state support by producers of children’s goods using domestic licenses and analysis of the main mistakes of producers of licensed goods for children will be important for manufacturers and distributors.
The speakers at the session will be Nataliya Marova, Head of Retail.ru, Kirill Tanaev, MOMRI Director, Ksenia Gordienko, CTC Media Licensed Products Director, Dmitri Zyryanov, Megalicense Sales Director, and Petya Toncheva, License Director of Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products. Roman Fedotov, Olymp Association Director, will be the moderator of the session.
Kirill Tanaev, MOMRI Director, thinks that there is a good reason for significance of licensed goods for children, in particular, of clothing and footwear for children.
“The content for children is a driver for production. The total cumulative share of media channels for children is growing, and the viewing time of the programs for children is increasing including the MULT Channel. The download volumes of mobile games and applications for children are growing, too. Why is this happening? The reason for this is a phenomenal growth in the national animation industry and the growth in interest towards animation as a whole. A new high quality Russian video content on Carrousel Channel and MULT Channel was one of the main trends last year as well as an increased demand for the Russian animation products in the international marketplaces.”
Ksenia Gordienko, CTC Media Licensed Products Director, supports him,
“We demonstrated The Three Cats to the license market for the first time more than two years ago, and by now we have signed 42 contracts and got 37 licensees for this franchise.”
CTC Media will inform about the plans for 2019 at the License Marketplace. They will present their new franchises and licenses for some product categories to the market.
Dmitri Zyryanov, Megalicense Sales Director, will speak about the opportunities to increase the sales of products under a retail chain brand using famous characters on product packages and about the role of licensing agencies in this process.
